Finally - the last installment of Aapril 1995

The Saturday morning after they left we loaded the car with Robert and our bags and drove to Utah. We stopped off at Carl’s and Katy’s and when Carl suggested to Elsina that she might like to go to Orem with us and stay with cousins there for the night, I encouraged her to do so. After all, we were in the grandparenting mode! She thought that sounded good and Maren did too, so when we left Layton we had the back seat of the little car filled with the three – Robert and the two girls. We dropped Robert off in Salt Lake, then drove to Orem getting there about 5 o’clock. Our newest little angel - Number 19 - is a doll. (Parker) He looks just like Spencer looked when he was a baby. Wendy had dinner ready for us and in the evening we left cousins to entertain each other and I helped Wendy prepare salads and barbecue in anticipation of the rest of the family being there on the morrow the the blessing of little Parker.
Carl and John and their families and Quin were there for the blessing . . . The afternoon was spent in relaxed conversation - spiritual, political, social, family - whatever topic seemed to come forth. It is something to sit back now as one of the older generation and see your own posterity as mature parents taking hold of life and that which it has to offer.
